Greater Together is a nonprofit organization that promotes racial and economic equity in the creative industries in the Greater Milwaukee area. We embrace collaboration and creativity, and believe in inclusion, so everyone can participate, prosper and reach their full potential within the design and creative communities. We are the originators of the Greater Together Challenge, an unprecedented competition focused on generating and advancing ideas that address segregation in Milwaukee.

Greater Together is searching for an Executive Director with skills in community organizing and a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities include:

  • An individual with strong organizational skills to oversee the development of a strong business partner network 
  • Develop strategies that deliver on the Greater Together mission
  • Lead the development and implementation of key tactics that lead to equity in creative fields
  • Lead a collaborative and inclusive team of 10-12 individuals and foster a positive organizational culture 
  • Serve as the Greater Together representative for partners and members
  • Identify opportunities for supporting or creating partnerships and networks with organizations 
  • Identify fundraising opportunities and manage the yearly non-profit budget effectively
  • Create a marketing plan to communicate ongoing initiatives 
  • Develop an ongoing progress monitoring and research system to evaluate programs

Experience in and a passion for:

  • The Creative Economy
  • Community Organizing
  • Non-profit Management
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusing
  • Planning
  • Grant Writing
  • Available for evening meetings
  • Able to drive and access to a car
  • Access to a computer, email and basic computer skills

Experience in:

  • Marketing, database management, and business processes would be a big plus.

We will pay directly.

There will be no health insurance provided.

Hours will be flexible and you'll be able to work from home often.
