Summary:

CHS is seeking a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with a track record of leading multichannel communications campaigns and marketing initiatives. This role will play a critical role in promoting and achieving Cenex® brand strategies by reaching and influencing key audiences. We’re looking for someone who can seamlessly pivot from managing external agency relationships to collaborating with internal marketing teams to find creative ways to grow brand awareness and engagement.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven, high-energy strategic communicator with the ability to plan and execute in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. We are looking for candidates with passion, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a high level of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as a collaborative member of the CHS marketing and communications team to execute and develop the B2C Cenex consumer campaign and communications for internal and external channels. 
  • Partner with and provide strategic counsel to CHS energy business units to support key business objectives as they relate to Cenex® brand marketing objectives. 
  • Work with agency and other partner teams in B2C campaign planning, media planning and buying, creative concepting, social media strategy and execution and other campaign execution. 
  • Help drive brand awareness and engagement through innovative digital campaigns and initiatives. 
  • Provide strategic counsel on consumer-focused content and user experience as it relates to digital platforms. 
  • Manage brand-related event executions and sponsorships. 
  • Collaborate with CHS and freelance photographers/videographers to plan and deliver imagery, produced videos and other audiovisual products to support business objectives and augment company stock image and footage libraries. 
  • Create, oversee, and share regular reports on campaign performance.

Minimum Qualifications (required):

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 7+ years of account or campaign management (brand or agency). 
  • Prior experience creating and managing content across multiple platforms (web, mobile, social, print). 
  • Experience collaborating with communications agencies to develop creative deliverables from concepts to final production files and distribution through paid, earned and owned media. 
  • Experience interfacing with other corporate departments, including marketing, operations, government affairs, legal, finance and/or sales teams. 
  • Experience leading internal and external teams through collaborative projects.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, advertising, communications or other related fields. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines. 
  • Experience operating independently and executing with high quality on both strategic and tactical levels. 
  • Experience managing multiple day-to-day clients and communications campaigns with a proven track record of managing deadlines, budgets, and vendors. 
  • Experience in managing executing multimedia communications, including TV, social media, and audio. 
  • Subject matter experience in energy products and/or convenience retail.
