You’re innately curious, with a passion for staying on top of social media trends and best practices. You’re ready to explore your passions and experience multiple facets of social media work. You love to examine posts on major social media networks and understand why they performed better than others. You can write, ask great questions and people like having you as a co-worker. That’s why we want you as our newest social media intern. No assignment is too small; you’re looking to further your career at a creative agency and know that every task is an opportunity to learn. You deliver excellent work on time and love learning new industries and processes. You’re eager to learn it all – from developing content and monitoring community engagement to optimizing advertising campaigns and assisting with influencer activations..

Here’s why we want you:

  • You’re a full-time student or recent grad with a major or minor in strategic communications (public relations, advertising, journalism) or business marketing. 
  • You’re a junior, senior or recent grad with previous internship experience, preferably within the social media discipline. 
  • You have strong written and verbal communications skills. 
  • You understand social media platforms and industry trends. 
  • You have familiarity with the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and TikTok. 
  • You have a go-getter attitude, with excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • You’ve completed basic strategic communications and/or business marketing coursework while maintaining a B or higher grade average. 
  • Part-time Fall internship (15-20 hrs./week) 
  • Location: Ideally we would like this person to be located in or near Milwaukee to be able to collaborate in person when needed, but we will consider someone if they are remote. 
  • Paid internship $18/hr. 

Please include quality writing samples with your application, preferably from past internships, personal blog posts or samples from a volunteer/school organization. Papers or projects from journalism, PR or relevant communications classes will also be accepted but must be less than 2 pages. Because this internship is content-focused, applications without writing samples will not be considered.
