Financial industry experience required. The Lowe Group, a financial communications agency, has an opportunity for a mid-level professional who will support client leads across the range of our services, including media relations, content development, social media and marketing support. We seek a full-time person but will also consider candidates who would prefer slightly less than full time or a flexible schedule.

The primary responsibilities of this position are (1) to work closely with client relationship managers and clients to achieve outstanding client outcomes in media, social media and marketing/website areas and (2) to coordinate task management and planning across assigned clients. Additionally, this position will contribute to content development.

Responsibilities:

Media

  • Conduct or assist with pitches to media
  • Draft and distribute news releases
  • Identify and research media contacts relevant to each client’s audience
  • Build media relationships
  • Identify best platform/approach for each news release
  • Report on results of news releases and other media outreach

Social media

  • Conduct social media audits and assist with the creation of social media plans for clients
  • Plan and execute campaigns
  • Draft social media content on behalf of clients and for The Lowe Group
  • Monitor/assess social media outcomes and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Schedule and track social media activity using social media tools such as Hootsuite

Marketing

  • Create and revise client marketing materials
  • Conduct Google Analytics and other website reviews
  • Update client websites and support client website development in WordPress
  • Advise clients on marketing strategy and tactics, including digital

Client service coordination and planning

  • Assist client relationship leaders with project planning, agenda creation, reporting and other areas
  • Work with client relationship leaders and other team members to assure timely and successful completion of client tasks; complete follow-up items and client tasks in a timely manner
  • Monitor news and identify important opportunities and challenges relevant to clients
  • Perform competitive research and audits
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all team members

Content

  • Research and write financial services-specific content such as articles and blog posts, backgrounders, feature stories, case studies, bios, website copy, policy statements and other corporate communications

Financial industry experience required.

  • A minimum three years of experience in financial services. Experience in wealth management, asset management, M&A, sustainable investments, financial technology or alternative investments is strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information demonstrated through college coursework or professional business writing
  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business, economics, communications or journalism is preferred. In lieu of coursework in business or economics, a working knowledge and interest in the financial services industry is acceptable. A master’s degree is helpful.
  • Website experience, ideally including familiarity with WordPress
  • Work-related experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter, including drafting professional posts and tracking analytics is desired
  • Proficiency using Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
  • The ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • The ability to learn and use online productivity and collaboration tools
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills
