The RSPR front end web developer will perform routine and specialized tasks in web design,  development, and tech support in a marekting agency atmosphere. This position is responsible for building and maintaining the server-side operation and functionality of the websites we develop and maintain for our clients. Making edits, troubleshooting, adding new copy is everyday work.

Tasks for this position will include…

  • Building websites using the content management system WordPress, along with Elementor and Divi page builders.
  • Applying a range of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to new and existing websites.
  • Making content updates/additions to WordPress and Shopify websites, including blogs, product pages, news releases, photos, etc.
  • Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Maintaining all client websites to run correctly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.
  • Helping train clients on how to use and make edits using WordPress.
  • Creating monthly HTML e-newsletters for clients.
  • Updating the domain DNS’s MX, A, and CNAME records. Using photoshop for basic photo editing such as cropping and resizing images.
  • Providing basic tech support for setting up email addresses for clients.
  • Creating electronic magazines utilizing Adobe acrobat and PubHTML5.
  • Updating content for the HTML media kits for agency publications.
  • Installing and configuring Google APIs from the Google Cloud platform (mainly the maps api).
  • Performing related administrative duties and timekeeping.

Minimum:

  • Front End Developer Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, software engineering, programming, or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year related experience, to include internships and part-time positions.
  • Understanding of key design principles. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Understanding of server-side CSS and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of APIs.
  • Understanding of SEO principles.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time-management and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple company or customer websites.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a multidisciplinary team.

Competitive salary, which is based on experience and qualifications.

Full-time, in office, 38-hour work week (36-hour week in summer).
