Stepan Company is hiring a Global Internal Communications Manager. The Global Internal Communications Manager leads and sets the overall strategy for Global Internal Communications. The Global Internal Communication will build a strategy to drive strategic alignment, build capability and increase engagement through relevant, consistent and accessible messaging. The Global Internal Communications Manager will drive common business processes that can be leveraged across the Global organization and is responsible for ongoing support and continuous improvement of communication processes and tools across the organization.

Other responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and execute the Internal Communication long term strategy and short-term tactical initiatives in support of the overall vision
  • Partner with Senior Leaders, Global Process Owners and Experts in the creation and evolution of Stepan’s practices, business processes and Global Communication strategies.
  • Develop a sustainable Global Internal Communication Operating System using relevant tools and metrics.
  • Develop, socialize, implement and manage execution of a structured yet nimble annual communications plan.
  • Collaborate and lead with Information Technology the strategy, evolution, implementation and sustainability of global internal communications platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Appspace, etc.)
  • Develop internal videos utilizing various tools as required to enable the communications strategy and tactics.
  • Train the organization on communication tools: Appspace, Intranet (SharePoint), etc.
  • Proven expertise typically gained through seven to ten years’ experience in the field, with a specific focus on internal communications.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including executive-level leaders.
  • Excellent writer and editor; strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Agility to adjust rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Organization Development, Communications related fields or equivalent required.
