Job Purpose and Impact:

The Global Communications Manager will develop and align the internal and external communication strategy and take the lead for the communications within a specific function to support employee engagement and drive business growth. In this role, you'll work closely with the corporate communications, media relations, digital and social teams as well as internal/external partners including business leaders. You'll work closely with leaders and collaborate with the global and regional communication teams, focusing on internal team engagement within our broader team to drive success.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop strategy in alignment with the global communications strategy, to drive effective internal and external communications. 
  • Advise leadership on effective communications with employees and other critical stakeholders internally and externally. 
  • Drive collaboration between integrated teams from various communications practices to build and implement the strategy. 
  • Lead, coordinate and execute internal communication campaigns from a content perspective across multiple channels to drive employee engagement and alignment around key business priorities. 
  • Managing communications for major change initiatives. 
  • Use global communications common tools, templates and processes to facilitate integrated communications across Cargill. 
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Public Relations or equivalent experience 
  • Solid experience with strategic communications plans and strategies 
  • Proven experience with internal communications or change communications 
  • Experience working in large organizations 
  • Extensive experience with a variety of communications strategies used within a global, matrixed organization 
  • Experience leading communications for large, global organizational changes
