The Global Corporate Communications team is responsible for employee engagement & culture, internal communications and external brand and reputation management at Sikich. The Global Public Relations role is remote and oversees marketplace brand awareness, media relations, PR content and executive visibility, including some social media and public event participation.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Reputation management and media relations activities for the U.S. and India (working with in-country resources)

  • Journalist relationship building with relevant press, with a focus on high-profile outlets, in order to garner more prominent exposure for the Sikich brand in the marketplace.
  • Support issues and crisis management in collaboration with Global Corporate Communications lead

Identifying, securing and promoting executive participation at industry and other public events (keynote speaking roles, panel opportunities, etc.).

Drafting of all public relations content, including press releases, statements, etc. in support of all company initiatives requiring external promotion, including new partner announcements, acquisition announcements and any and all other press-worth company news.

Ownership of thought leadership content that promotes the firm and its senior executives, including the drafting of articles for our CEO’s Lessons from Leadership blog.

Work directly with Sikich CEO and CFO acting as their “publicists” to ensure maximum, appropriate visibility in the marketplace.

Executive visibility efforts to promote Sikich c-suite, with focus on our CEO and CFO, in traditional media, on social media (both corporate and personal accounts) and at aforementioned industry and public events.

Executive visibility for Business Pillar leaders and select media relations activities for priority geographic markets and industry verticals.

Help centrally manage the development, posting, analysis, monitoring and responses on Sikich corporate social media platforms in cooperation with various internal teams including employer brand, talent acquisition and corporate brand.

Act as a collaborator with the function’s Employee Engagement & Culture team.

Lean in as needed to assist The Agency, our marketing and communications consultancy practice, with client needs such as strategic planning, brainstorming, content development, etc. This work will be minimal and only as needed, but we realize the collective benefits of ensuring Sikich PR and client PR capabilities are maximized under our “one firm” mind set.

Team member will be a creative problem solver, innovator and collaborator to help the company build its new dedicated public relations platform from the ground up, ambitiously growing exposure and prominence for the corporate brand with key stakeholder audiences to help drive company growth.

Team member will participate in other special projects and assignments, as needed, for the broader Corporate Communications team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of corporate PR and/or PR agency experience. 
  • Must have extensive PR agency experience. 
  • In-house communications experience a plus, but not required. 
  • Must have experience working with large, global brands. 
  • Professional services experience a plus. 
  • Must have experience with building and successfully leveraging relationships at media outlets, with a proven track record with high profile media outlets. 
  • Must be skilled in the modern practice of public/media relations and a deep toolkit of ideas, insights, capabilities and resources to execute this function independently. 
  • Excellent communicator, writer and speaker. 
  • Extensive experience working with c-suite as a counselor and chief PR strategist. 
  • Ideally, experience in managing social media platforms with a working knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office 365.
