The Grants Coordinator is the Community Action Coalition’s control point for sources of Agency funding and the budgetary plans for how sources of funding are to be used. Their main duties include authoring, coordinating, and submitting grant applications to the Agency’s core governmental and community-based (such as United Way) funding sources. The Grants Coordinator maintains a system that tracks and depicts the Agency’s funding sources and uses as they may change throughout a given calendar year. The ideal candidate is self-directed and has a high attention to detail.

Tasks and Duties:

  • Prepare grant applications to core governmental and community-based (such as United Way) funding sources. 
  • Coordinate with Program Directors to ensure implementation of technical program requirements, reports, and grant applications. 
  • Develop and maintain standard Dashboards and Management Reports in the Agency’s participant and other stakeholder database which is currently a configuration of the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management System. 
  • Develop performance metrics and tracking methods that comply with contract requirements. 
  • Develop expertise with and implement the Results-Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) methodology prescribed by Community Services Block Grant funding. 
  • Support the authoring of the agency Community Needs Assessment, annual report, strategic plan, and fundraising efforts. 
  • Participate in the development of Agency plans and strategies. 
  • Analyze and report on program dashboard, strategic plan and other metrics. 
  • Work with the Executive Director to implement the agency development plan and grant goals. 
  • Work with a team to realize and exceed program goals. 
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, files and statistics. 
  • Maintain a tracking system that depicts up-to-date funding sources and uses. 
  • Maintain a tracking system that depicts up-to-date program performance targets and results. 
  • Maintain the CAC grant guide. 
  • Develop and maintain standard Dashboards and Management Reports in the Agency’s participant and other stakeholder database which is currently a configuration of the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management System. 
  • Support agency fund development campaigns. 
  • Attend agency meetings and training sessions. 
  • Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor. Provide technological assistance for staff, board and committee meetings.
  • Working knowledge of all CAC programs and services. 
  • Excellent writing, editing, organizational and oral communication skills, both on an individual and a group basis. 
  • Experience developing or managing budgets. 
  • Experience with data entry to ensure accurate reports, records and documentation. 
  • Demonstrated dependability, punctuality, self-motivation, initiative, and an ability to work with a minimum of supervision and as a team; be detail-oriented, manage multiple priorities and prioritize tasks. 
  • Ability to coordinate projects. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships even at times of changing priorities and under tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information appropriately. 
  • Ability to communicate complex information in ways that others can understand. 
  • Ability to write proposals clearly and concisely while communicating the benefits of the proposal, such as in grant application writing. 
  • Competency using technology, including demonstrated skills in: Word and Excel, Wisconsin Service Point or HMIS (state database program), Sales Force (internal database) and Working telephone.

This is an exempt position, with health care, dental, retirement, and a great PTO package. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
