The graphic & web designer is responsible for completing assigned design tasks and seeing them through post-production completion. The position will interact with the entire marketing team to ensure sales, events and promotions excite and delight our guests. In addition to design projects, the graphic & web designer will have the opportunity to see their work come to life in our stores, occasionally helping with installations and being an ambassador of our brand at select events.

Design

  • Accurately and creatively design projects as assigned
  • Ability to work in both print and digital media 
  • Edit, review and proofread finished projects
  • Manage products through post-production, including printing, cutting, mounting, hanging, packaging, folding, laminating
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Sendik’s products and events
  • Adhere to brand parameters when required
  • Concept new designs when required
  • Strong organizational skills (file management, deadline commitments, etc.) 

Web Design

  • Creatively design and code HTML email newsletters
  • Troubleshoot and modify existing web content
  • Design graphics, animations and manipulate digital photographs Work with different web content management systems
  • Research current design and email marketing trends 
  • Proofread content and grammar
  • Knowledge of email marketing partners (iContact, Mailchimp, etc.) preferred 

Communication/Teamwork

  • Collaborate and contribute to all aspects of marketing team
  • Positively interact and effectively communicate with all fellow Sendik's associates
  • Ability to segment and share projects tasks with teammates to stay on track for completion
  • Willingness to serve as brand ambassador at select events

Requirements

  • Two-plus years of design and web design experience, preferably in or for retail
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; Microsoft Office product suite; and Google Docs.
  • Must be proficient with HTML, CSS and Adobe Dreamweaver
  • Well organized, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently to meet uncompromising deadlines 
  • Excellent communication, prioritization and organizational skills
