Graphic Design and Creative Services Manager

The Graphic Design and Creative Services Manager visually communicates the Vivent Health story and supports communications/marketing initiatives and branding through innovative, engaging and creative graphic design solutions across multiple platforms. Works collaboratively with team members and colleagues to develop best-in-class work based on strategic insights. Guides internal clients toward effective solutions that reflect the brand and deliver on goals. Proactively evaluates the effectiveness of projects and processes and routinely provides recommendations for improvement. Serves as design subject matter expert on initiatives that drive brand awareness. Manages the incoming workflow process, assigns projects and maintains a high quality of service by ensuring overall consistency, accuracy and timeliness of materials. Creates and edits candid phone camera video and shoots photography as needed. Manages print production and outside vendors. Mentors interns and provides constructive feedback to elevate the quality of work.

  • Lead the development of visual concepts/creative strategies that are in alignment with the Vivent Health brand and support national strategy and growth. 
  • Develop visual identity that supports brand messaging for projects across multiple platforms, including print collateral, digital/print advertising, direct mail, e-mail marketing, website, social media posts, video, photography, etc. 
  • Develop and execute page layouts/visual design elements for Vivent Health website (Wordpress). 
  • Champion enterprise-wide adherence to brand standards – including typography, photo style, colors, etc. to ensure brand identity and message consistency across channels. 
  • Participate fully in the creative/collaborative process with team members and internal clients. 
  • Share responsibility with fellow team members for brand strategy, client management and creative quality. 
  • Manage projects from creative brief to completion, ensuring results are on time, on budget and deliver on client expectations. 
  • Manage daily project intake; own department workflow platform and keep team on target. 
  • With input of department director, assign projects. 
  • Effectively prioritize multiple competing projects and aggressive deadlines. 
  • Participate in the development/creative direction of video and photography assets. 
  • Manage outside vendors and budgets as required. 
  • Work collaboratively with external agency as required. 
  • Mentor graphic design intern. 
  • Other projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field. 
  • 5+ years graphic design experience in a creative environment; agency experience desirable. 
  • An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates superior creative and technical skills across print and digital formats Expertise working in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator 
  • Expertise in website page layout/design for Wordpress 
  • Experience developing consistent brand identity and visual presence that translates across multiple platforms. 
  • Experience in project/traffic management; proficiency in a plus 
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically 
  • Strong written, oral and visual communication skills with high attention to detail 
  • Great organization and time management skills; ability to prioritize and effectively process workflow and communicate status of projects 
  • Proven ability to set priorities, allocate resources/assets, create and manage timelines, work with vendors, manage expectations and deliverables.
  • Expertise in managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast paced, deadline-driven work environment 
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build partnerships
  • Experience in candid photography and video creation/editing using a camera phone necessary; commercial photography and/or videography experience a plus
