Graphic Design & Video Intern

Do you have a passion for both graphic design and video editing? Are you looking for an intern position where you can showcase your skills and gain experience across various areas of a marketing department?

Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. (R/M) is looking for a creative thinker and self-motivated designer with a talent for turning complex topics into compelling graphical and video content. Utilizing your creative skills, you will help strengthen the branding of marketing materials such as client proposals, website content, award nominations, social media, whitepapers, product campaigns, and videos.

This is a paid internship and offers flexible hours (days, nights, weekends) and options to work from home and/or in-office (downtown Milwaukee or Waukesha). The ideal candidate can work 15-20 hours per week.

This position will give the ideal candidate the opportunity to assist with:

• Creating graphics, images, layouts, and infographics to complement marketing pieces. 
• Filming and editing videos to promote products, services, and people. 
• Developing branding and digital materials for company’s 75th anniversary. 
• Curating content and publishing to social media channels. 
• Editing and designing webpage layouts for articles. 
• Designing and editing internal e-newsletters. 
• Organizing and editing image and brand element libraries. 
• Additional marketing duties as needed to support the team.

The ideal candidate shall possess the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) at an accredited college or university with a major in graphic design, digital media, marketing, or related field. 
• Technically proficient in creating and developing graphics and videos. 
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and social media platforms (HootSuite, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube). 
• Experienced with video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects) and filming (DSLR and lighting) is preferred. 
• High performing, self-starter with ability to work in a deadline-driven environment both autonomously and collaboratively. 
• Detail-oriented, with high standards for quality. 
• Can successfully manage simultaneous projects and due dates to achieve project deadlines.
