About the Role

We are looking for a bold Graphic Designer to join our team!Ovative Group’s Creative Lab team delivers best in class creative ideas and assets across full-funnel paid ads and digital customer experiences. The Graphic Designer role requires a sharp knowledge of creative best practices for digital media including social media, display advertising, CTV and online video. It also requires the ability to concept, design, and produce creative assets that are purpose-built to drive optimal performance. This role will support a wide range of clients as well as Ovative’s internal marketing and business development teams.

This position requires proficiency in multiple software packages and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. It would be beneficial if the designer is also comfortable as an illustrator.

Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic direction into high quality graphic design ideas Concept and design creative assets for specific platforms, and formats based on the media requirements, testing plans and brand guidelines 
  • Collaborate effectively with internal Creative Lab partners, client services, media channel teams and client teams effectively 
  • Present your ideas and work to clients and communicate how they tie back to overall strategy and intention 
  • Partner with the Ovative Marketing Team to produce brand marketing assets, working within (and helping evolve) the Ovative brand guidelines to deliver high-quality creative assets 
  • Partner with the Ovative Business Development team to support creative needs for pitches 
  • Thoughtfully incorporate edits and feedback; take ownership in making these changes by communicating how long it will take, what’s changed and why 
  • Effectively manage time and expectations to ensure that teams understand how work is tracking, or not, to meet agreed upon expectations and deadlines 
  • Actively pursue opportunities to learn and expand platform-specific knowledge and expertise, stay up to date on design trends and bring fresh ideas to the team. 
  • Help the Creative Lab team foster relationships with partners such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and others 
  • Opportunity to manage and mentor junior design team members 
  • Contribute perspectives and ideas for Creative Lab growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or another related field 
  • 4+ years experience working within advertising agencies, creative studios, or media organizations with an emphasis on creating design work for a variety of clients. 
  • Must be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Microsoft Powerpoint 
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is a plus 
  • An eye for great design, graphic design principles, and typography 
  • Passionate about a high level of craft, executing the creative vision of projects along with other teammates 
  • Attention to detail and ability to self-proof work 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at once 
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when it comes to explaining your work, justifying design decisions, and talking through client or internal feedback professionally 
  • A head full of ideas and the drive to lead in a high-growth business
