Overview:

The Graphic Designer will be a part of Shared Services within GPHR and have responsibility for designing creative solutions across multiple channels (digital, print, signage, installations) while working collaboratively with the PODs, internal and external partners, and leadership. The person in this role will serve as a day-to-day “go to” for creative assignments and apply design skills as a strategic systems thinker, with an ability to operate in ambiguity on multiple projects.

The role requires the need to demonstrate excellent graphic design and typography skills—working within and outside of already determined creative guidelines.

Most importantly, this person must possess a commitment to improving the healthcare experience through an obsession with understanding consumers, and a passion for being a Health Champion, a System Challenger and a Moment Maker.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

  • Create visual concepts, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. 
  • Serve as a day-to-day “go to” for creative assignments and apply design skills as a strategic systems thinker. 
  • Be a digitally-native thinker, with an understanding of insight-led, consumer-driven marketing 
  • Build strong relationships and instill trust and confidence with internal and external partners.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, often making timely decisions for fast-paced projects to meet deadlines. 
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure produced work is accomplishing desired marketing and business objectives. 
  • Work comfortably in a nimble, empowered, agile environment, collaborating with team members and stakeholders in Marketing, IT, Operations and healthcare service lines. 
  • Stay current with the latest style, graphic, industry, and technology trends and demonstrate application to projects

Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field
  • Photo art direction experience and skillful knowledge of design tools,
  • Experience in leading a project from concept through production.

License/Certification/Registration:

  • Portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design and strong understanding and application of art direction.

Preferred:

Experience:

  • Consumer-driven brand, Retail or Agency experience
  • Experience with MAC Applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills as well as a willingness and ability to create presentations and present to Leadership and Marketing teams.
