General Summary:

The Advarra Graphic Design internship is designed for students or recent graduates to gain experience by creating engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. Advarra’s in-house design team is responsible for the visual identity across the company, this includes but is not limited to, layout design, illustration, UX/UI design, event/environmental design, and motion graphic design. The Graphic Design Intern will receive close supervision and coaching from the Senior Graphic Designer; this will evolve into more project responsibility and independence as professional growth is demonstrated.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

  • Design and produce educational or promotional pieces for digital, web, and print projects that support Advarra’s visual brand
  • Work with the Senior Graphic Designer to create assets for design projects including handouts, social media images, ads, infographics, eBooks, Featured Images, PowerPoint slides, and more
  • Provide design support for the Onsemble Conference, Advarra’s customer conference, and additional external events or trade shows
  • Participate in weekly design team meetings where you will have the opportunity to propose new ideas or give feedback to other members of the design team
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a remote and distributed team environment
  • Learn how to use project management software to track projects from start to finish
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Be a part- or full-time student enrolled at a university or technical program or a recent graduate
  • Must have experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of design principles, such as, layout, color theory, typography, and graphic elements
  • Experience with illustration is preferred but not mandatory
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of work

Hourly Rate: $18.00/hr.
