Position Details

Graphic Designer - Marketing
Northern Illinois
Downers Grove, IL

The Graphic Designer is responsible for performing Marketing duties including graphic design, managing and interacting with Marketing vendors, drafting copy, partnering with department leaders on Marketing needs, and assisting with internal and external communications consistent with the Bank brand.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as part of the in-house graphic design team. 
  • Maintains a consistent brand aesthetic across the digital footprint. 
  • Designs and creates email marketing campaigns for profit centers (Commercial, Retail, Wealth, Mortgage). 
  • Creates and designs in-branch merchandizing (e.g. signage, brochures, television content, ATM graphics and copy). 
  • Consults with internal departments (Retail, Wealth, Commercial, Mortgage) on direct mailing campaigns. Manages the graphic design and copy of outgoing content. 
  • Serves as in-house expert to create custom sales presentation slide decks as needed for high profile clients, management meetings, and investor communications. 
  • Partners closely with Compliance department to ensure design work is in line with regulatory and legislative requirements. May contribute to maintenance of social media channels including graphic design and copy on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WordPress, and Instagram. Ensures a consistent design aesthetic and message across all platforms. 
  • Manage vendor contributions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related area of study; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and three or more years of graphic design or digital marketing experience.


  • Strong written communication skills for drafting copy for publication 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite of products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and more. 
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts with attention to visual details.
