Graphic Designer/Production Artist
Southeast Wisconsin
Brookfield, WI

AmerTac is adding a Graphic Designer/Production Artist to the team! This position significantly contributes to assisting the marketing team primarily in producing print, packaging, and point-of-purchase. This role will be to take on the designs during the final stages of development to ensure accuracy and prepare them for print or digital publication.


  • Create packaging design and updates
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager, designers and developers
  • Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for packaging
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
  • Provide image retouching, line drawings, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
  • Package and preflight files for release to printers or suppliers
  • Create PDFs for print and client review
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
  • Work within brand requirements for a cohesive design
  • Partner with third party printing and translation services
  • Create product user manuals
  • Liaise with Product Managers to define design requirements


  • Excellent attention to detail with solid communication and collaboration skills
  • Highly proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to work well with a diverse team
  • Self-starter confident in prioritizing skills and working under tight deadlines
  • Aware of industry design trends and how this knowledge applies to each brand and channel
  • Ability to collaborate, establish priorities and solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Experience designing packaging is a plus.


  • 2-3 years’ experience in Graphic Design, Production Artist or a similar role.
  • College graduate with a design degree (BFA)
  • Interested candidates strongly encouraged to provide a portfolio online or print that demonstrates their design layout and past experience
