About This Role:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creative execution of concepts and designs for a wide range of marketing materials, including direct mail, catalogs, trade show environments, signage, corporate communications, branding, campaigns, email and more. This role works alongside their design and copy peers and will produce visually compelling concepts that are on brand, execute to the creative strategy, and ensure that projects are completed on established scheduled targets. This role is a problem solver who is highly motivated to see the impact and potential in given projects for the Ace brand overall.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for the concept and design of various omni-channel communications, from intake through to delivery. 
  • Collaborates with Creative Manager, peers, partners, and production team to identify project needs, produce compelling concepts, and deliver finished product to support the brand objective. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to push ideas, innovate, evolve the brand, and make suggestions to implement the most appropriate solution. 
  • Manage your own workload, keep projects tasks on time and keeping Creative Manager and account managers up to date on project statuses. 
  • Adheres to all standards including processes, file naming conventions, artwork release methods, filing on the creative server, and working effectively in our project management system. 
  • Applies broad knowledge of workflows, digital asset management, problem solving, designing and quality control to handle assigned projects with minimal supervision.

You are a creative who isn’t shy from offering solutions beyond the task at hand. You have a growth mindset and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience. 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Ability to provide creative concepts and understand a high-level of retail advertising. 
  • Positive, motivated, collaborative team player. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying close attention to detail. 
  • Must be very well versed on Macintosh platform (OSX) and industry standard applications: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; with a working knowledge of Office applications: PowerPoint, Word and Excel. 
  • Must have knowledge of prepress methods in order to produce printable artwork.

Preferred Skills:

  • Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. 
  • Must be able to comprehend and clearly articulate business needs. 
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure situations with quick, real-time problem-solving skills. 
  • In-house and photo art direction experience a plus.
