The Graphic Designer plays a key role as a member of the Marketing Team in fulfilling the company’s mission – Help People Build Better Decks – and is accountable for creating graphic design solutions for the company’s eCommerce website and digital marketing campaigns. The Graphic Designer has a solid understanding of best practices and trends in eCommerce and digital advertising channels and will work closely with Marketing and Merchandising teams to develop a variety of marketing materials that build awareness of the company’s product lines, position the DecksDirect brand as a leader in the industry and drive sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a small collaborative team to achieve company goals 
  • Use creative thinking and problem solving abilities, with a willingness to dig to the root of an issue 
  • Research trends and industry standards then conceptualize to problem solve through design 
  • Utilize research and data to influence design decisions and validate solutions 
  • Design and implement graphics for all marketing campaigns 
  • Contribute to photo and video campaigns when needed 
  • Ensure consistency of brand and creative assets across customer touchpoints (website, product pages, category pages, promotions, social media, banners, ads, email campaigns, infographics, templates).
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure aesthetics are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to better communicate and display our company strengths across all platforms 
  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Expert knowledge of typography, layout, color theory 
  • Strong knowledge of designing for digital environments 
  • Experience adhering and contributing to a brand standards document 
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite 
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is required 
  • Experience working in Figma or Sketch is a plus 
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platform(s) 
  • Ability to handle high-volume design workflow with the ability to prioritize 
  • Strong attention to detail

Position Details:

  • Full-time Position: 40-50 hours a week, Non-exempt hourly position 
  • In Office Position, remote options currently not available 
  • Compensation is negotiable, commensurate with experience
