Graphic Designer

Do you love design and travel? Are you getting ready to graduate or are you a recent grad with 1-2 years of experience as a graphic designer? Then look no further.

Destination Madison is looking for a passionate and curious graphic designer to help apply our brand's visual tone to a variety of digital and print projects. You’ll work alongside our brand team (social media masters, project managers, writers, data lovers and public relation pros) and 1:1 with our Senior Graphic Designer. Projects range from technical (think resizing, layouts, deck building, maintaining our brand platforms and image library) to creative (think posters, logos, guides, maps, social content, photo, and video shoots).

You as a designer:

  • Are an upcoming graduate or seeking an entry-level design position to grow your skills 
  • Have a portfolio of work samples (Required
  • Have strong graphic, branding, and conceptual skills 
  • Have a working understanding of print and digital design 
  • Have strong file organization skills 
  • Are proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator 
  • Have a desire to grow the craft and construction behind good design 
  • Have a willingness to participate in creative brainstorms with the marketing and branding team on everything from social content to printed brochures 
  • Are comfortable working on a wide variety of projects that service Madison events, local businesses, and sports 
  • Are eager to experience Madison and help inspire a love for the city in others

Work Environment & Job Specifications

The work environment and job specifications listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Primarily perform work in an office environment 
  • Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, but there may be an occasional need to work outside those hours. 
  • Work with frequent interruption and sit for long periods of time. 
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Flexible/Hybrid work option where team members can request to work remotely up to 40% of the work week with approval from their immediate supervisor after 90 days of employment

Compensation and Benefits
