Graphic Designer

image.works is a fast-growing marketing firm serving financial institutions, healthcare organizations and education institutions nationwide. We are looking for a full-time, detail-oriented graphic designer with a strong sense of aesthetics, layout composition, technical design and typography to add to our high-caliber team. Candidates must be fast, accurate workers and will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing the production of projects, communicating with clients and ensuring the graphic integrity of print-ready files.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and edit a variety of promotional materials, including annual reports, brochures, direct mail pieces, logos, newsletters, posters, emails, landing pages and more
• Communicate with clients and get to know their branding and creative standards
• Work with clients to make changes and updates to their projects
• Use expertise in design and computer applications to review final designs and layouts
• Create and produce accurate and comprehensive electronic layout files for press
• Maintain organized files and job notes on critical design details for future reference
• Work on numerous projects at once, often under demanding deadlines
• Work closely with internal staff to ensure the best experience for our clients

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Graphic Design, BFA or equivalent degree required
• 1-5 years of work experience preferred
• Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of principles of design, including layout, typography, color, balance and composition
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Software requirements: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office
• Must be able to work on a Mac-based computer
• Positive creative energy and ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with clients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of four-color, spot and digital printing processes and pre-press requirements
• Experience with HTML and web content management software
• Motion graphics animation experience using Adobe After Effects
• Understanding of direct mail and variable data processes
