What You Will Do:

The Graphic Designer will be highly creative and a talented team player who excels under pressure in a fast-paced environment. He or she must be driven, flexible and able to demonstrate creative and innovative design solutions.The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to develop projects from inception through final delivery. He or she must ensure all work is high quality, error free and delivered within agreed timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Graphic design of, but not limited to: print collateral, packaging, digital mediums, presentations and videos. 
  • Creative, artistic and innovative design talent. 
  • Technically skilled in design methods and software. 
  • Must uphold Stryker’s brand guidelines. 
  • Brainstorm and concept development, create, articulate ideas, and gain acceptance of concepts. 
  • Use creativity and artistic ability to create branded and highly differentiated graphic design elements. 
  • Directs photo shoots for products and models, background staging, etc. 
  • Works closely with digital marketing to help with website updates and campaign development. 
  • Proper package files for print. 
  • Coordinates projects from inception to completion, ensuring all stages and elements are executed on time and on budget. 
  • Proactively learns new software and techniques to maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the graphic design field; must keep up with the industry. 
  • Must proofread work to ensure accuracy and no errors. 
  • Timely routing of marketing collateral within approval system. 
  • Manage and maintain all files, upholding the organizational archive structure. 
  • Distribution of marketing collateral to respective locations (i.e. Inkling, Websites, Apps, etc.).

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred in Visual Communications or related specialty 
  • 2+ years of professional graphic design experience 
  • Proven ability to concept and design for various forms of media including but not limited to: print, web, digital, direct marketing and advertising – with online portfolio 
  • Excellent attention to detail and file management skills are essential 
  • Knowledge of pre-press and printing 
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects 
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
