Graphic Designer

The Lakota Group is a progressive, award-winning Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, and Historic Preservation firm. Our team is seeking a Graphic Design/Communications professional with marketing experience. The primary role of this individual will be to work alongside our Planning, Design, and Marketing teams to create captivating project-specific brand imagery and develop layouts for reports and digital materials.

All candidates should be highly creative self-starters, must have superior design and graphic skills, and be able to meet aggressive project deadlines. Must work well in a team setting, be a strategic thinker, and be passionate about design and branding.

Responsibilities:

• Develop brands, brand marks/logos, and signage and wayfinding for municipalities, agencies, and institutional clients, as well as for planning and design assignments 
• Assist with the development of proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials 
• Implement layouts for single and multi-page documents 
• Assist with website management and imagery 
• Work on projects concurrently and adjust to dynamic project needs, depending on project type or scale 
• Assist managers to ensure the successful completion of projects 
• Articulate concepts both graphically and verbally 
• Engage in professional organizations

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years of professional experience 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
