The Graphic Designer position at THIEL Brand Design is responsible for conceptualizing and creating visual design aesthetics that enhance communication and drive visual branding. Our Graphic Designers work in a team approach with THIEL teammates and client-side stakeholders on a variety of projects encompassing print, video, web, social, dimensional and environmental communication platforms. As a Graphic Designer your work will be assigned by the firm’s client-facing principals, our Creative Director and project managers. You will also interact directly with clients.

In addition to being a highly talented graphic designer, the ideal candidate will have the ability to edit raw video footage and/or create graphic animation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and confirm your understanding of the strategic objectives of each project and its components.

  • Conceptualize and execute creative solutions that meet strategic objectives.

  • Be proactive. Use critical thinking to process, react to and solve project challenges in a timely manner.

  • Seek to understand and be sensitive to the individual personalities of each teammate and client.

  • Collaborate with teammates and with clients to foster strong working relationships which facilitate project outcomes that are mutually embraced.

  • Design brand assets, including logomarks, brand identity architecture, print and digital formatting elements, static and motion imagery and iconography, and brand standards.

  • Own the post-production video editing process for video projects you are assigned.

  • Understand the communication objectives and narrative, following a script or outline.

  • Assemble and edit raw footage. Animate motion graphics. Input and sweeten sound. Select music.

  • Select and art direct voice-over talent. Execute final polishing of video color/sound.

  • Manage tasks to achieve strategic and creative goals, and to ensure delivery on time and on budget.

  • Communicate internally and with client stakeholders to keep all teammates informed and to stay abreast. Over-communicating is better than under-communicating.

  • Have all files proofread by our designated proofers before presenting concepts to a client, and before providing final files to a printer or other third-party vendor.

  • Track your time working on each project and log it in our time-keeping system before the end of each day.

  • Three to seven years of experience in a corporate or agency setting.

  • Highly skilled in graphic design, branding, typography and layout.

  • Expertise using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Ability to design for both print and digital applications.

  • Experienced in meeting with clients to understand their needs, and in presenting design solutions.

  • Experienced in creating and following branding guidelines.

  • Flexibility to make revisions based on client feedback.

  • Ability to prepare your own press-ready files based on supplied vendor specifications.

  • Strict attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills — with teammates and clients.

Compensation commensurate with experience along with a platinum benefit package.
