Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer’s main role is the support and design of all graphics elements inside our stores. This position collaborates with a team of creatives and contributes with fresh design solutions as it pertains to all things in store. He or she will participate in conceptual meetings, suggesting fresh ways to communicate to our guests through elevated design solutions while adhering to brand standards. This role requires swift, fast execution - translating complicated offers with fragmented information or last-minute changes. This role is equally design oriented as it is production related.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Creates new and existing design in the store environment including signs, banners, floor decals, window clings, at shelf graphics, endcap posters and hanging overhead elements. 
  • Re-skins existing collateral or creates new elements to enhance the store experience 
  • Inserts changes, reworks layouts and adapts to any changes within the design process without drama. 
  • Works collaboratively with team members with a friendly and flexible attitude 
  • Contributes design ideas proactively and does not wait for “the answer” from supervisor 
  • Provides a unique point of view within the current branding 
  • Supports mag and tab design when needed which includes page layout, photo concepts and light co-art direction of photographers when needed

Job Requirements:

  • 4 Year Minimum college degree in Graphic Design or equivalent 
  • 2-4 years of graphic design and marketing experience from a retail design, experiential or shopper marketing agency.

Creative Skills:

  • Must have an exceptional eye for beauty and beauty products. 
  • Strong page layout execution. 
  • Ability to break dense copy with interesting typography, iconography and unexpected design choices while still respecting the offer’s hierarchy 
  • Ability to take creative criticism and quickly adjust the design to correct 
  • Offer a unique, modern and sophisticated point of view and is confident in making a recommendation 
  • Mature, good sense of humor, ability to maintain composure and work with others 
  • Work within a team with a positive attitude 
  • Displays elevated design aesthetic and articulate design choices to Print Design Manager/ Creative Director. 
  • Displays a design sense appealing to women 
  • Understands the branding and is enthusiastic about the opportunity at hand 
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures 
  • Strong organizational skills, quick execution style 
  • Ability to communicate adequately orally and in written form 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on a multitude of concurrent tasks 
  • Must be discreet with confidential information of which he/she has access 
  • Forward-think and make decisions with confidence 
  • Fast, efficient, organized 
  • Not above production or changing direction at a moment’s notice
