UNCOMN is seeking a Graphic Designer to turn complex ideas into clear visuals to show our differentiated approaches in federal and mission-critical programs. You will create vector-based diagrams, infographics, slide decks, and branded assets that help leaders see the story at a glance.

In this role, you'll also...

  • Translate whiteboard sketches and technical/process concepts into polished vector graphics with Adobe Illustrator.
  • Build integrated conceptual diagrams, infographics, and presentation visuals that align to UNCOMN brand guidelines.
  • Own end-to-end production: scoping effort, setting timelines, iterating quickly on feedback, and delivering print-ready or digital assets, including the website and social media.
  • Manage color palettes, typography, and layout to ensure visual consistency across proposals, presentations, and web content.
  • Collaborate with marketing, proposal, and technical teams; explain design choices in plain language.
  • Maintain an organized asset library and basic style guide updates.

Requirements:

  • Please include a portfolio with original vector work in your application. You can upload it as a document or drop a link in your resume or the "Comments" section. Applications without portfolios won’t be considered.
  • 2+ years of related graphic design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator with working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Proven ability to translate abstract requirements from non-design stakeholders into clear visuals.
  • Solid grasp of color theory, typography, and layout for both print and digital formats. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and able to work onsite with a hybrid schedule.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for federal, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Understanding of systems architecture and/or experience with technical illustration.
  • Motion graphics skills.
