Develop, design and produce both print/digital and branded marketing/informational materials that promote the College to a variety of audiences. Provide creative direction and design in the development of the College's visual brand and design standards. Work requires a high degree of creativity, technical skills, analytical thought and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.

  1. Collaborate with director, manager, team and/or various departments to brainstorm and develop approaches to generating positive marketing messages.
  2. Develop design concept and direction for marketing pieces, promotions or campaigns. Update maintain and digitally file projects.
  3. Contribute both visually and strategically to marketing initiatives including development work for the website pages. Assist in website maintenance. Edit/create content, pages and forms, troubleshoot and audit the technical function of webpages and links, and ensure design is aligned with the brand and accessibility guidelines.
  4. Plan, design and layout the text and graphic elements for the College's top-tier marketing, recruitment and internal and/or external campaigns and promotions, in both print and digital formats. Provide print pre-flight and accurate verification of digital documents prior to release for production.
  5. Plan, design and layout digital initiatives including the text and graphic elements of automated/scheduled communication plans and personalized/targeted communications through the use of various platforms. Ensure accurate verification of fully-functioning integration into College technology systems.
  6. Collect and analyze customer data to detect trends. Adjust marketing direction according to results achieved.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve graphic computer software/hardware issues. May provide technical and functional guidance to the Marketing team; train, coach, advise or provide feedback regarding graphic projects.
  8. Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities. Keep up-to-date with the latest software and computer technologies. Research graphics trends or learn new techniques.9. Participate in and contribute to assignments and special projects of a similar nature and level.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge of and creative skill in graphic design, including advanced understanding of layout, color theory and typography, to express marketing messaging clearly and effectively
  • High technical knowledge, and proven comprehensive application, of current Adobe CC software
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Proficient knowledge of digital marketing platforms, especially CRM, CMS, and email marketing systems
  • Basic knowledge of web programming languages and web scripting languages.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and web platforms.Ability to manage time, organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and/or with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail, completing and maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills in speaking, writing and listening.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from clients about project.
  • Ability to train, coach and provide relevant project feedback to co-workers

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree concentrating in graphic design or a related field
  • Three years of graphic design work experience is required, preferably with an in-house marketing department or collaborative team environment
  • One year of digital marketing or related work experience
