WeatherTech Direct is searching for an outstanding Graphic Designer to join our growing Creative Team! You're a critical thinker. You know what's needed to transform a creative brief into a great design. You collaborate with other designers and copywriters because you recognize the value of differing perspectives. You approach problem solving with an open mind. Your agency background allows you to be curious, asking the right questions and deliver on-point creative solutions in a fast-paced in-house environment.

You must provide a link to your portfolio of work (include password) that showcases memorable creative across multiple media platforms.

As a Graphic Designer, you will:

Attend kick-off meetings with other creative team and account team members

  • Take notes and ask clarifying questions to understand the Creative Request/Brief discussed, and confirm role on the assignment
  • Provide input on concepting ideas based on knowledge of digital design, cultural, social, consumer and technology trends 

Understand the nuances of various marketing channels and consistently approach projects from a user/consumer-centered perspective

Ensure implementation of company brand standards in all executions

Be detail oriented, with a keen eye for aesthetic quality and strong sense of typography

Build cross-functional relationships and interact daily with multiple internal teams on creative initiatives

Design assignments including, but not limited to: instruction sheets, logos, signage, print advertisements, sales support collateral, digital/social media graphics

Participate in creative brainstorms when needed

Prepare and package files for transfer to the next phase (i.e. transitioning a file to the studio)

Execute deliverables under tight deadlines with the ability to creatively problem solve

Comply with safety guidelines and company policies and procedures

Trim/mock-up design prototypes, including, but not limited to: packaging, signage, and other special projects as-needed

Perform other duties as needed

Qualified Candidates will:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in advertising, design or relevant field 
  • Have 2-3 years of experience as a Digital Designer, preferably in an agency or in-house creative department 
  • Have a deep understanding of digital and print advertising, marketing, typography, layout and design principles 
  • Have current knowledge and understanding of where and how people interact with media, including at home, on the go, while shopping, mobile, broadcast, print, event, etc. 
  • Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD – Microsoft Office and others as-needed 
  • Have an ability to understand and follow brand guidelines, creative briefs and feedback, while taking creative direction from creative leads 
  • Have a deep understanding of advertising, marketing, typography, layout and design principles 
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly and succinctly both verbally and in writing; can clearly articulate an idea and the reason(s) behind a specific creative direction 
  • Be able to accept constructive feedback and apply in work 
  • Be able to collaborate well with others 
  • Proactively seek out additional projects during lull periods 
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
