Produce and verify art that meets customer expectations and allows for efficient production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite and Illustrator to layout artwork and create renderings.
  • Ability to use 3-D software for development of products and creation of design presentations that illustrate the customers product in the packaging.  
  • Ability to visualize and create concepts in 3D.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Formulate and communicate ideas for new accounts or products while analyzing customer needs and production feasibility.
  • Ability to evaluate and modify customer supplied artwork to match the production converting processes and standards.
  • Ability to provide quality control in manufacturing for colors, placement, and graphics processes.
  • Ability to understand performance of each type of board grade, medium and liner combination.
  • Understands customer products/needs, Welch business strategy, Welch sales strategy and overall packing requirements for projects.
  • Supplies final artwork and CADs for production runs and sample designs for approval/signoff by customer.
  • Accompany Sales Representatives on occasion to present new designs or presentations to customers or prospects.
  • Works with customer service representative or sales representative to review accounts and make recommendations for update on graphics, style, board weight and new products.
  • Meet deadlines for design requests/samples based on information supplied from sales representative or production.
  • Adhere to and support all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education:
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design, Computer Arts or related field or 2 years in similar role with leadership responsibilities in lieu of degree  
Experience 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suit preferred.
  • 3D StudioMax or equivalent 3D software abilities preferred.
  • Ability to use Excel, Power Point, VPS and email communication.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000 per year.
