POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing operational support and coordination of packaging and graphics within Marketing. This will include managing priorities and executing packaging and graphing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute packaging, retail displays, graphics, marketing collaterals, print, web & digital, point of purchase materials, and other brand communication needs from concept to market commercialization

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create design vision, design concept, and implement production art while consistently meeting business deadlines and requirements

Provide art direction, design expectations to internal and external graphic designers for all creative projects

Key liaison working with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality

  • Provide feedback to printers to ensure high printing standards are met

Work with customers, brief and advise them regarding design, print production and timelines

Develop, prepare, analyze, and review graphics budget

Manage external design firms as well as internal design resources

High level knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Design, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Business or related degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience, general understanding of business practices
  • Knowledge of the various phases of packaging/POS/Collateral production, (creative design, production art, prepress and printing) is required
  • General knowledge of creative advertising development and related terminology, production, and electronic processes required
  • Clear understanding of printing process and experience in working with printers
  • Experience setting product to planograms, performing resets, POP placement, inventory counts, and transferring product from stock to sales floor
  • Experience managing external agencies/vendors
  • Experience leading project teams, including remote resources, is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task on different projects with different requirements
  • Ability to set clear goals and quantitatively measure them
  • Knowledge of general business, marketing and advertising principles/practices, knowledge of basic accounting practices is a plus
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Must have the ability to represent the company's interests to outside parties
  • Possess good communication skills; both verbal and written as well as the ability to make effective presentations before groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, deals effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and by telephone, proven collaboration skills that enhance teamwork and align goals
  • Budget management: project estimates to meet budget requirements. Monthly forecasting and annual budget planning.
  • Responsible for notifying QA/QC of any observed or reported product quality issues so that appropriate action may be taken
  • Adaptable, resilient, and flexible in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Demonstrated passion and personal commitment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work to meet objectives.
  • Excellent administrative / organization skills and superior execution abilities
  • Federal Code of Regulation experience preferred
