BVK is seeking a Human Resources - Talent Lead with 3-5 years of experience to support our growing organization. Our full-service advertising agency is looking for a passionate, self-driven team member to support sourcing, hiring and on-boarding talent for the organization

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full life cycle of recruiting for BVK talent, while building and managing a future pipeline of talent for the organization.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with department leads, client team leads, and talent, including both employees and freelancers.
  • Maintain and leverage BirdDog Applicant Tracking System
  • Post and maintain open positions on multiple job boards and websites; also work closely with local colleges, universities, high schools and associations to network with potential future talent
  • Coordinate talent candidate interview times, phone interviews, feedback follow-ups, and track interview status to ensure a candidate is not adrift throughout process.
  • Respond to questions regarding recruiting process, applicant status, HR policies and independent contractor policies
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance of employee and freelancer talent acquisition and on-boarding.
  • Prepare new hire and termination paperwork, booklets, and emails.
  • Organize the Employee First Day schedule and effectively present new employees with a first day tour of the building.
  • Adhere to deadlines and have a strong understanding of how employee and freelancer activity is interconnected with payroll, benefits, accounts payable and invoicing such activity to BVK clients.
  • Maintain employee-level personnel records, files, and information in strict confidence.
  • Provide back-up support to other HR functions, such as payroll and benefits processing.
  • Support other team members with projects such as compiling documents such as 1095’s, W2’s, 1099’s, EEOC reporting, 401k audit, 5500’s, etc.
  • Scan and retain reports and documents in e-File.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 3-5 years of professional level of experience in employee talent sourcing
  • Demonstrates a high degree of quality of work, paying attention to the details with limited supervision
  • Organized and able to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated work environment
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively across multiple departments
  • Knowledge of current HR practices and laws required
  • Knowledge of independent contractor laws and requirements recommended

  • Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
