Insights Associate

At VMLY&R, we are helping brands and retailers navigate a complex ecosystem of pure-play, direct to consumer, and omni-channel commerce, as well as relationship marketing models. We have assembled a talented and diverse team of experts and are looking for an Insights Associate who will be an active part of this growing group.

• Enjoy synthesizing data around new technologies and consumers behaviors to create actionable recommendations?
• Want to help clients navigate the new retail environment that is quickly blending digital and physical experiences?

If the answer is “yes,” then you might be our next Commerce Insights Associate.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and synthesize various data points to create insights that inform strategy development 
• Subscribe to industry news and stay current on client-relevant trends 
• Shadow & support senior strategists during brand/client planning exercises 
• Monitor commerce & retailer trends and technological advancements 
• Assist with business development as needed

Required Skills:

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work streams 
• Develop a full mastery of subscription tools 
• Complete basic assessments including digital ecosystem audits, competitive research, category & landscape assessments, etc. 
• Authoring industry white papers/POVs

Required Experience;

• 0-2 years’ experience 
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a multidisciplinary background, including developing marketing strategy, consumer insight, media strategy and/or account planning
