The Role:

Serve as the liaison between the marketing department and multiple company business units. Work closely with key business unit stakeholders and functional marketing team members to create marketing communications strategy and programming that helps each business unit meet its annual objectives by generating customer demand and loyalty.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual marketing communications strategy for each assigned Donaldson business unit. 
  • Develop expertise on the markets, customer segments, and solutions for each assigned business unit. Apply that knowledge to develop value propositions, customer personas, and customized messaging designed to attract and motivate each target prospect through highly relevant, differentiated and customized communications. 
  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, manage the development and tactical execution of integrated content marketing programs encompassing advertising, eMail marketing, press relations, web marketing, social media, channel marketing, direct marketing, tradeshows/events, and sales communication. 
  • Leverage the skills of a dedicated team of strategy, design, and digital marketing professionals to develop and implement market-specific content for lead-generation, product launch, and knowledge-leadership campaigns, press articles, case studies, and sales enablement tools. 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously through the concepting, development, approvals and execution phases for on-time and on-budget delivery. 
  • Support the creation and maintenance of website and e-commerce content utilizing Donaldson’s content management system and digital asset management platform. 
  • Utilize Donaldson’s customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation platforms to manage, track, and nurture campaign-generated leads. 
  • Implement organic search engine optimization (SEO) and paid adwords strategies and campaigns. Leverage Google Analytics and other reporting tools to track campaign metrics. 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking protocols to ascertain if marketing efforts are having their desired impact.Provide feedback and recommendations to management. 
  • Consistently apply Donaldson brand standards to all customer-facing communications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5+ years marketing communications experience, including the development and execution of integrated content marketing programs using both traditional and digital marketing channels. 
  • Minimum of 3+ years digital marketing strategy and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with marketing technology platforms, including customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, and website content management systems. 
  • Global business experience with proven ability to collaborate and implement marketing efforts across cultures and around the world. 
  • Experience with social media strategy and tactical implementation. 
  • Marketing communication and/or advertising agency account management experience. 
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) principles and technology. 
  • Copywriting experience/skills. 
  • Experience performing or applying market analysis to create customer value propositions, market personas, message platforms. 
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. 
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience managing relationships with marketing agencies and other partners. 
  • Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word).
