The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is hiring a Marketing Communications Manager to integrated and execute UWM's marketing and communications initiatives. This position will lead and orchestrate creative teams and collaborate with university clients on a wide range of projects for the University, its school/colleges, enrollment and alumni offices, and academic departments.

The Marketing Communications Manager will integrate and execute UWM’s marketing and communications initiatives. This position will lead and orchestrate creative teams and collaborate with university clients on a wide range of projects for the University, its schools/colleges, enrollment and alumni offices, and academic departments. This position blends marketing strategy, creative execution, leadership, and project management skills.

A Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years significant management/leadership experience in fields, i.e., marketing, communications, public relations or advertising. At least six (6) years of supervisory experience directing the work of multiple professional staff and fiscal planning/budget management. A Masters degree would be preferred. The ideal candidate must also demonstrate experience in leading the development and management of projects to successful conclusions; related work experience obtained in varied industries, i.e., private, public, medical or higher education; strong evidence of client relations or client services experience; familiarity with various areas in marketing, i.e., branding, social media, video production, writing, photography, web development/design, graphic design or marketing communications campaigns; excellent oral and written communication skills and an engaging public presence; demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills and collegial interactions and the ability to meld diverse perspectives to foster effective, collaborative working relationships with internal and external contacts; ability to work independently and have knowledge of national trends and best practices in the marketing and communications industry.

Salary range: $54,314 - 81,470 with a very generous benefits package.
