Summary of Role:

The Integrated Marketing Intern will be responsible for completing four separate rotations across the following integrated marketing disciplines: Influencer Marketing, Digital Marketing, Omnichannel Shopper/E-Commerce Marketing and PR. The Integrated Marketing Intern will be assigned specialized projects across each discipline throughout the course of the internship. This unique rotational program will allow the Integrated Marketing Intern to experience the variety within marketing activation and offers foundational knowledge to prepare for future opportunities in the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn from subject matter experts about different marketing activation strategies and processes within the integrated marketing team. 
  • Make recommendations about process efficiencies and ways of working at conclusion of program 
  • Apply learned knowledge from marketing courses to assigned projects and team interactions
  • Perform competitor SWOT analysis of outside programs/systems and tools

PROJECTS:

  • Assist in influencer database organization as well as recruitment for new influencers to join the Organic Valley program. 
  • Identify new influencers for Organic Valley’s influencer network on Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube based on specific criteria. 
  • Engage new influencers with a first contact from Organic Valley to begin to establish a relationship with them. 
  • Assist in building system for tracking and collecting e-commerce and online reviews 
  • Execute landscape assessment of ever-evolving e-commerce and brick & click opportunities 
  • Assist in building measurement analysis of omnichannel shopper marketing promotional programming and activations 
  • Lead website audits to ensure content, packaging, and labels are current and accurate. 
  • Assist with earned media outreach, to include maintenance of media contact lists, drafting of press releases, media kit creation and assembly, product mailings. 
  • Assist in set-up of earned media monitoring, tracking, reporting and measurement system and processes 
  • Coordinate communications and alignment with Coop Communications PR team 
  • Pending timing, assist with planning and execution of Brand/Product/Cause PR campaign execution

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with stakeholders across CROPP to discuss their roles and performance goals 
  • Prepare final report following each rotation to present to key stakeholders and leadership

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with one year or less from graduation required. 
  • Currently working towards a degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred.
  • Strong interest in and aptitude for marketing data analysis 
  • Course work in digital marketing/social media required. 
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written required. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs required. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively. 
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Interest in organic and working with farmers and cooperative business model preferred.
