As an internal communications associate, you will help bring our workplace culture to life by creating and delivering cohesive, engaging and effective messages to promote employee engagement and help employees embrace and achieve our key strategies.

The Internal Communications function is a part of the Public Affairs division, which is charged with building public trust and understanding of the Federal Reserve System and the work of the Minneapolis Fed. This role will collaborate with colleagues across the department and the Bank to develop content aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.

Our ideal candidate is a skilled writer, proficient copy editor, and also has experience editing images using Adobe Creative Suite. Experience using website content management systems is a plus. You are also highly organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and have great attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential to successfully work with individuals at all levels from across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day support for internal communications initiatives in support of organizational objectives and strategies 
  • Drafts, edits, and publishes communications that reflect the desired tone and culture of the organization and to ensure that target audiences are well-informed 
  • Coordinates and schedules content for multiple communication channels including weekly e-newsletter, intranet, digital signage, video, and more 
  • Assists various departments across the organization with communications planning, message content, strategy, design, and execution 
  • Creates visuals to enhance digital communications 
  • Provides content management for our intranet 
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field, and three plus years of related experience 
  • Strong writing and copyediting skills 
  • Experience editing images using Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience using website content management systems is a plus
