The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.
The Internal Communications Manager oversees the development and implementation of internal communications messaging strategies for Allina Health’s business units or corporate functions. This individual works with communications staff to align key campaigns, message strategies and leverage opportunities appropriately. The communications manager will work in collaboration with external communications on issues management at the local or system level (e.g., risk/strike/media/reputation issues, etc.). This individual is accountable to develop and oversee structures and processes that help the team and key stakeholders prioritize communications requests, key campaigns, executive messaging and more. Lastly, the internal communications manager oversees the management of key local and/or systemwide communications channels. This position reports to the director of internal communications and has significant interaction with executive leadership in the business units and/or system office functions.
