Job Summary:

Through strategic communications, creative collaboration and innovative thinking, the team works to advance the goals and strategies of the firm while driving positive culture and engagement. As an Internal Communications Manager, you will partner with a variety of internal clients to develop and execute powerful communications.

Your day might include:

  • Developing a communications plan to drive awareness of a key firm initiative.
  • Interviewing a Tax partner to learn about a practice update and writing an article about it to post on the firm’s intranet-based news site.
  • Representing internal communications on a call with a variety of project stakeholders to provide recommendations on how to best communicate the project details firmwide.
  • Reviewing and editing a team member’s work to ensure it meets the highest standards.
  • Writing video talking points for a firm leader.
  • Measuring the impact of a communication.
  • Identifying ways to enhance internal communications processes.
  • Pitching in to help with a last-minute request.
  • Brainstorming!

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; field of study in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations preferred

Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years of related strategic internal communications, journalism, marketing or public relations experience, required
  • Change management experience, preferred
  • Prior experience working in a professional services environment, preferred

Software:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint, preferred
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and OneDrive, preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of content management systems, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of AP style guidelines; active listening skills; solid editing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Capacity to effectively manage evolving priorities, multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Knowledgeable about emerging communications trends and tactics
  • Ability to take complex thoughts and synthesize them into clear and concise communications for a variety of audiences
  • Experience with change management principles
