Primary lead on global employee communications and engagement for DuPont Water Solutions 2,000+ team members. This person will develop and implement strategies and communications content that will inform, align and engage our global colleagues, as well as support internal recognition through internal channels, as well as social media (when appropriate, with agency support). This person will also lead change management projects (and other special projects) related to workforce or operations, which may include external and/or customer communications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, own and implement internal communications strategy and execution plan aligned to business unit strategy.
  • Develop and implement internal communications strategies and detailed communications plans (in support of focus campaigns, change management efforts, acquisitions, etc.)
  • Support internal change management campaigns and special projects with external communications, as appropriate (writing press releases, customer messages, etc.)
  • Distributing key communications updates to employees through various channels (DWS News, Weekly E-newsletter, E-mail blasts, webinars, other).
  • Share DWS news with the business area and corporate-level communicators, when appropriate.
  • Lead the company’s use of Bonfyre; improving engagement, auditing current groups and elevating the platform.
  • This role will also share employee recognition across external social media platforms, when appropriate (LinkedIn and Twitter) (With agency support)
  • Managing quarterly all-hands meetings particularly quarterly business updates (includes developing content, prepping speakers, follow up on message effectiveness)
  • Support issues management and crisis communications; developing leader talking points, Q&A, background for business strategy updates/ changes, corporate reputation issues, etc.
  • Working with global leadership team members to ensure we are following up with our employees on concerns they have, particularly coming out of surveys.

Knowledge And Experience:

  • Four-year or greater college degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant communications experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Strategic: Be experienced in developing and implementing communications strategies, both internal and external.
  • A Strong Writer: Possess superior writing, editing and proofreading abilities and demonstrate the ability to present information in a clear, concise and compelling manner. Be a talented storyteller able to capture stakeholders’ attention, and able to produce and publish content across multiple channels/ formats
  • High Level of Business Acumen: Possess the ability to interact and work closely with executive leadership, as well as numerous functions, including HR, finance, safety, site leadership, and operations. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, with outstanding tact and diplomacy, as well as ability to separate critical work from busy work.
  • Change Management/ External Communications Skills: Possess ability to lead change management campaigns focused on both internal and external stakeholders. Understand and be able to use latest tools in digital communications, social media, and media relations.
