The Internal Communications Specialist position will create content for a variety of Land O’Lakes employee audiences, covering important content topics including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Foundation, Community Relations, and other key internal messaging. Your content will be shared and published to a variety of platforms (intranet, digital signage, email, presentations, hard-copy materials, etc.).

In this role, you must be a stickler for detail and have a healthy respect for timelines, department tools and processes. You need to build strong relationships, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and diplomatically resolve issues of competing timelines and priorities. You should be curious, interested in learning, and flexible in taking on a wide variety of Communication projects.

One of the key audience groups for this work will be frontline employees and leaders throughout the Supply Chain/Operations organization. This is a great opportunity to think big, build partnerships, leverage experiences and grow the role to fit the needs of the organization and employees.

As the Internal Communication Specialist, you will be creating your own original written and visual content, reimagining information for targeted audiences as well as improving the work ofothers through careful review and critical editing. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of creating a better world for all and your future takes root.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, PR, Advertising, Marketing or business-related field; or in lieu of a degree 4 additional years of applicable work experience 
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Supply chain or supply chain support area experience preferred 
  • Thorough understanding of communications principles and practices 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills that support delivering multiple
  • priorities 
  • High comfort level and proven record of consulting, advising and collaborating with
  • multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including building credibility 
  • Able to write persuasively and adapt writing style depending on audience and
  • communication objectives 
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills and confidence interacting with
  • diverse work styles, levels and functions
