While carrying out the job duties listed below, the Internal Communications Specialist contributes to our continued business success by providing unsurpassed guest service, personal and professional dedication to our Mission, Vision, and Values, and demonstrating a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

  1. *Develop and maintain the internal communications plans/strategies, branding, initiatives, materials, and mechanisms to support and advance business objectives and promote company culture. 
  2. *Create and implement programs, initiatives, and materials to enhance internal clients’ knowledge and understanding of the company, its business strategies, operating environment, and culture. 
  3. *Develop, write, and edit internal communications including but not limited to newsletters, bulletins, publications, speeches, presentations, video scripts, electronic broadcasts, and other communication vehicles. 
  4. *Serve as system administrator for internal website to develop, coordinate, and maintain intranet content. Work closely with web development team to keep site and design up to date. 
  5. *Serve as a resource and provide training to intranet content providers from various departments. Oversee calendar, edit, and approve postings from the editorial team. 
  6. *Use graphic design, PowerPoint, and photography skills to create media and presentations that are visually appealing in a time-sensitive manner. 
  7. *Coordinate and develop manager and team member communication forums, meetings, and events to support communications vehicles. Ensure full and effective integration with all aspects of business operation. 
  8. *Work effectively with human resources and other departments to communicate, coordinate, and integrate internal communications and apply best-in-class practices to all communications efforts. 
  9. *Ensure that internal communications projects are within specified budget. 
  10. *Develop and implement measurement tools to gauge effectiveness of internal communications. 
  11. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, or closely related field and 3 years of team member/corporate communication or experience writing for a periodical circular are required. 
  2. Experience in maintaining and designing intranet sites a plus. 
  3. The ability to demonstrate writing skills through a writing assessment. 
  4. Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point. Prior experience working with basic web-based programs, Photoshop, and Quark Express. 
  5. The ability to use strong organizational skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  6. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information. 
  7. The ability to interact with guests and team members at all levels of the organization professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups. 
  8. Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays. 
  9. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member may be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Working Conditions:

The noise level is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
