Position Summary:

Carma Laboratories is expanding and currently recruiting an International Marketing Associate who will be responsible for driving and executing projects and supporting the International Department and distributor partners to meet financial and department goals. This marketing role leverages creative, analytical, relationship building and planning skills to implement diversified initiatives, execute and measure initiatives and drive improvements and results.

The International Marketing Associate will collaborate closely with internal and external team members, including cross-functional team project collaboration. Work and priorities will be guided by the Business Development Senior Manager, but this individual will be expected to work independently and bring forward proposed solution recommendations to challenges encountered on the job.

Reports to: Business Development Senior Manager, International

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and completes necessary documents, forms, and presentation materials for internal processes; including gathering of critical distributor data points, working with finance team to ensure financial hurdles will be achieved, drafting request proposals, program requests and financial forms. 
  • Manages the Carma international distributor digital vehicles to include developing and maintaining a digital content calendar; coordinate and oversee development of shared content; review, edit and coordinate availability of appropriate sourced social media elements; drive opportunities for efficiencies amongst distributors social engagements site organization and improving distributor engagement. 
  • Oversees Digital media review and updates and helps develop reports for Int'l team. Review and manage needed changes/updates of distributor Carmex websites ensuring brand consistency, proper product imagery, language/content, etc. This will include making recommendations for changes to the distributor led brand websites. 
  • Coordinates with R&D Team regarding distributor requests for ingredient/claim substantiation concerns, retailer sustainability forms, etc. to determine and communicate appropriate response and ensure proper organization of documentation in centralized database. 
  • Conducts in-depth analysis including compilation, assessment, summarization and maintenance of key data points and data collected from syndicated sources, distributors, etc and refine KPI reporting. 
  • Manages packaging related projects including copy development, translation development/review; management and tracking of packaging elements/changes for historical reference, packaging change request documentation, etc. 
  • Manages the Claims Grid data and documentation in conjunction with the Int'l Marketing, Manager of Regulatory Affairs and VP of R&D Team. 
  • Acts as liaison to assess and problem solve with cross-functional colleagues, particularly packaging engineering group and vendor partners regarding graphics and manage distributor communications as appropriate. 
  • Helps develop/simplify processes to increase international team productivity and organization. Identify process gaps to develop opportunities for improvements. 
  • Manages & maintains organization of all assets and collateral materials including transition to new Teams channel. 
  • Organizes and leads cross functional Int'l Regulatory monthly meeting and Int'l Department biweekly Priorities meetings. 
  • Contributes to and supports comprehensive short- and long-term strategic plans of the brand strategy and market planning.

Execute various administrative departmental needs:

  • Presentation creation/preparation/editing 
  • Ability to discern, synthesize and simplify data 
  • Determine the appropriate response and take follow-up action regarding new market inquiries 
  • Coordinate distributor or department requests for new item samples 
  • Coordinate travel calendars, itineraries, organize meetings as needed and take comprehensive meeting minutes and disseminate accordingly

Required Experience, Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years CPG marketing experience (health & beauty related product experience preferred) 
  • Ideal candidate would have experience in international, multi-cultural business, working with a sales or distributor network 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and preferably multi-country teams 
  • Project management and problem-solving skills; including ability to determine insights and trends from data 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to successfully interact at various organizational levels from senior management to administrative and vendors 
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills, MS Teams; experience with Smartsheet and ERP systems 
  • Strong writing skills 
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and resource needs 
  • Positive upbeat attitude and collaborator mentality 
  • Multi-lingual a plus

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, or equivalent education and work experience
