Your Opportunity:

As an International Marketing Associate, you will assist in the day-to-day management of marketing activities, focusing on the development and management of sales tools, programs, marketing materials, product launches, and customer support. The primary goal is to support the execution of key elements of the annual marketing strategic plan to achieve product line, departmental, and divisional objectives.

Work Location:

This opportunity is based out of Bloomington, MN international headquarters. Other job locations and/or fully remote is not available at this time. The current team works 5-days on-site and should plan for 5-days on campus when they are not dispatched to travel.

Due to international time zones, shift flexibility is required. Based on business needs, staff members may choose to adjust their start/end times to the day based on availability to connect with international dealers, distributors and colleagues.(Some examples of colleagues include, but are not limited to: Asia, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, England, Europe, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Scotland, etc).Schedule flexibility is required to accommodate the international support and collaboration.

International and Domestic Travel is required, anticipated <10% along with appropriate expense reporting duties. Travel generally is out for 1 week, and then a flight back.

After training, we anticipate that this desk will be focusing support in the Latin America region/territories.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning. Work with various teams to develop, present, and execute both short and long-range business plans.
  • Sales and Marketing Coordination: Coordinate with regional sales and marketing teams on pricing strategy and implementation. Coordinate industry and association agreements to ensure proper usage of benefits and events. Assist in planning and support of key customer events, including tournaments, trade shows, and distributor gatherings. Collaborate with sales and product teams to ensure accurate and efficient use, upkeep, and training of the CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) system. Assist in developing and executing marketing claims and program strategies. Ensure all marketing programs are accurate, compliant, and effectively communicated.
  • Product Launches: Assist in conducting new product launches to the market. Achieve approved annual plan objectives regarding retail sales, shipments, profit contribution, and asset management.
  • Marketing Communications: Execute effective communication strategies, including website, print, digital, and public relations. Manage the creation, distribution, and maintenance of marketing assets.
  • Special Projects: Represent the International division and lead/participate in special projects as assigned.

Job Title:

The job title will be based on academic and prior years of experience.

  • Associate, Marketing: Bachelors Degree and 0-2 years of marketing experience, including understanding of golf and durable goods marketing.
  • Manager, Associate Marketing: Bachelors and 2-4 of marketing experience, including understanding of golf and durable goods marketing.
  • Marketing Manager I: Bachelors and 5-6 years of marketing experience, including understanding of golf and durable goods marketing.

  • Marketing Manager II: Bachelors and 7+ years of marketing experience, including understanding of golf and durable goods marketing.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or related discipline.
  • Prior golf experience from the business-to-business side (such as dealer/distribution network, strategy planning sessions, trade shows, promotions and pricing, new product launches, P&L financial planning, VOC events, maintenance of how the various equipment works, sales, warranty claims, etc. is required.
  • Unfortunately, although athletes, hobbyists, staff, or golf teachers have a passion for playing golf and familiarity with our equipment ---these candidates would most likely not have the required prior experience for this role.   • Successful track record in marketing and/or product management. Experience in developing strategic plans, conducting voice of customer research, managing customer relationships, and developing marketing communications plans.
  • Business-to-business experience through a dealer/distribution system. Strong relationship-building skills with key industry entities, sales, and channel. Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, influencing ability, and effective participation in cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., quoting systems, Salesforce, CRM, MS Excel, and/or Power BI).

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with collaboration with international teams (related experience might be resolving currency exchange rate questions, cultural obstacles, language barriers, etc.)
  • Multi-lingual skills are highly preferred.

  • Masters/MBA preferred but not required.
