Jr. Graphic Designer

Culver Brand Design

Over the last 30+ years, we’ve been described a number of ways. One client calls us his creative Swiss Army Knife, another thinks of us as an extension of her own in-house creative department. For some, we’re a full-service ad agency, and for others we partner as needed on everything from brand definition to package design to promotions. Regardless, we’re quick to dive in. We learn businesses quickly, ask interesting questions, and we’re comfortable breaking rules. And the results are anything but ordinary. One thing is clear through it all, we are indeed a curious bunch.

Jr. Graphic Designer
Southeast Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI

Culver is a dynamic, fast-paced branding and design agency working with many clients across many industries both nationally and internationally. Our culture is to “hunt as a pack” and we all eagerly dive in and work together as a delightfully semi-dysfunctional family. We are not driven by titles or traditional job descriptions but have the mindset of what can I do that will help the team/project be successful. Our workload is highly varied, and quite interesting, frequently providing the opportunity to work simultaneously on a myriad of assignments. Our workplace is relaxed yet intense, and we value people with self-motivation, common sense, a sense of humor and a can-do attitude.

This is an entry level position - We’re seeking someone with great instinct for design across a broad spectrum of applications, (digital/social, animated graphics, video, packaging, printed collateral, etc.), who has a strong grasp of, composition and layout, and who thrives on delivering the best creative possible. Additionally, Culver is seeking someone with a positive attitude, who takes direction, suggestion and constructive criticism well. We want someone who works well with a team and would like to gain experience in the industry, who can work in a fast-paced, highly creative environment and someone who is always seeking to grow and learn as a creative partner. The more digital experience and ability to create motion graphics the better!

  • Develop and execute design concepts across a wide range of applications
  • Design and concept for web/digital assignments
  • Partner with the team to discuss concepts as they progress

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet evolving deadlines
  • Must work well in a team setting, be a good listener, and enjoy success as a group accomplishment
  • Must have a sense of humor, or at least fake it convincingly
  • Proficient knowledge of Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
  • Video animation/editing experience is a major plus
