The Junior Graphic Designer is an entry-level role and is a key member of a highly productive marketing team that promotes the Bunzl brand. The successful candidate will be quick thinking and motivated to work both individually and collaboratively to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Expert knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator 
  • Strong design skills and portfolio 
  • Experience in preparing spec sheets for manufacturers 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and stay organized 
  • Exceptional typography skills and attention to detail 
  • Understanding of print methods 
  • Creative, cutting edge love of design and pop culture 
  • Data and image merge into InDesign for multi-page booklets and catalog layout 
  • Preparing graphics and renderings for sales presentations, trade shows, and marketing campaigns 
  • Researching industry trends, processes or market requirements 
  • Multi-segment and market research, creating and executing trend and color boards 
  • Product catalog maintenance (design, edit, write copy, bid out with printers) 
  • Ad design (blog, email features or print) 
  • Email marketing design work and execution 
  • Product image creation and ownership (prep, shoot and edit or create renderings and manage image database) 
  • Create sell sheets, one-pagers 
  • Create PowerPoint presentation as need to support sales efforts and meeting requirements 
  • Design signage, web graphics, wide range of print collateral and digital medias, with a high concentration on catalog layout. 
  • Some trade show booth design opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BA in Graphic Design, Advertising or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience 
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a creative position 
  • Experience with catalog layout, flyer creation and presentations strongly preferred 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Excellent work ethic with a high energy level, motivation, enthusiasm, and ambition 
  • Proactive, outgoing, positive can-do attitude, honest, high integrity, self-motivated and ability to work well within a team environment with effective communication skills 
  • Passion for design and layout 
  • Understanding of current design trends and the Millennial Generation including social media
