Junior Graphic Designer

Overview

Omega Yeast Labs is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer who is responsible for concept development, designing unique creative solutions, elevating the work, and quality tracking through the various stages of the design and production process. We’re looking for an engaging, authentic self-starter who can bring their enthusiastic energy to their role and work. The Junior Graphic Designer will report to the Director of Brand Design and work closely with our marketing team. This position requires a highly motivated, creative, and organized individual. A successful candidate will be comfortable being hands-on during the entire design process from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

• Create original design work on a range of projects for at least three different in-house brands (identity, print, digital, environmental, etc. for the primary business, an online publication, and coffee brand) 
• Creatively adhere to brand guidelines with a “what’s possible” mindset 
• Push the boundaries of the brands’ design and aesthetic 
• Explore new and creative ways for our brands, campaigns, platforms and designs to exist in the world

Requirements:

• 0 – 3 years of design experience in a creative studio environment (branding, print, and interactive) 
• Positive mental attitude and ability to play well with others 
• Superior organizational and time management skills 
• Excellent written and verbal skills 
• Ability to coordinate and/or respond to requests from various parties involved in projects (directors, project managers, suppliers, printers, illustrators, photographers, writers, etc.) 
• A candidate’s portfolio should reflect a range of design styles and capabilities. It should show evidence of an ability to do both responsible and experimental work. 
• Creative, passionate, sense of humor, and easy-going spirit 
• Proficiency in all Adobe design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) 
• Bonus: AfterEffects, Figma (or equiv), illustration and animation skills 
• Interest or experience in the craft beer industry is favorable
