Are you passionate about data-driven marketing? We're looking for an individual with entry-level B2B marketing experience and analytical skills to advance our analytics capabilities within Optum Marketing. The Junior Marketing Specialist will be a key contributor to advancing our digital marketing analytics, MarTech support and enablement, and marketing administration to drive actionable insights that impact business results.

The ideal candidate will learn to thrive in an environment with a high degree of individual responsibility. This person will have a creative and analytical mindset and will be able to translate technical information to a non-technical audience. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Analytics, Creative, & MarTech Enablement with a dotted line to the VP of Market Engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • As an entry-level marketing specialist, you will gain first-hand experience in data entry, campaign analysis, MarTech support, and marketing admin 
  • Perform data pulls for digital marketing tactics, website analytics, campaign engagement, and marketing attribution 
  • Support the market engagement team with tech stack support through data pulls, software management, and self-service training 
  • Serve as a key resource on data governance and partner with marketers, digital strategists, and enterprise analysts to ensure meaningful and accurate measures of success are in place 
  • Participate in a marketing measurement framework initiative to provide insight and team representation for standardized metrics for self-service 
  • Enable the advancement of marketing measures by incorporating new key performance indicators and educating marketing on how to best leverage 
  • Support the Market Engagement team with administrative functions such as managing internal team communication channels and document storage and coordination

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in marketing-related field or 3+ years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of marketing experience 
  • Background in the healthcare industry 
  • Experience with marketing technology and reporting software

Soft Skills:

  • Experience using software to analyze marketing data from multiple sources 
  • Data visualization experience 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience in cross-team collaboration, particularly with the ability to cross technical and non-technical stakeholders
