As a Lead Graphic Designer, you will support the vision and goals of HHT Fireplace Business Unit by designing and managing visual content that shares our story and vision, promotes our brand, and makes an impact across many different online and offline platforms. Content will align with digital trends, brand and content guidelines, and best practices.

What you will do:

Create content that motivates, inspires, educates, informs, sells, and simplifies information across a wide variety of digital platforms and offline mediums – with a focus on visual design.

Lead and support unified design direction for product rollouts utilizing an established creative process; seek to improve process by making recommendations for continuous improvement when needed.

Provide consistent art direction of photography and video, both product-only and product-lifestyle images, through planning and managing photo and video shoots, with a primary emphasis on still photography.

Partner with Creative Team members, colleagues and vendors to:

  • Maintain and elevate visual design standards across the fireplace business.
  • Develop unifying campaign thematic concepts in partnership with Copywriter and Creative Director – and present those ideas to company stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintainthe library of product photography assets.
  • Provide direction to team Production Designer and design contractors.

Support the Creative Director in guiding, maintaining, and documenting creative, operational, and brand standards, process and procedures.

Influence decision making and guide peers, as it relates to impact on the company and within the industry through the production of online/offline content.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or advertising or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years professional design experience with a diverse portfolio demonstrating digital expertise and conceptual thinking 
  • Exceptional ability and familiarity working in Adobe Creative Cloud – primarily InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator 
  • Equally comfortable and skilled pivoting from print to digital design 
  • Thorough understanding of print production channels, color management, and related best practices 
  • Highly-developed typography skills 
  • Familiarity with creating and applying brand standards, governance, and style guides 
  • Experience working with project management and digital asset management systems 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate at all levels of the organization to gain knowledge, inform, and drive omni-channel integrations 
  • Excellent organizational skill, multitasking ability, and attention to detail and quality
