Position Details

Leasing & Marketing Assistant
Southeast Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI

Leasing and Marketing assistant will assist the Finance and Marketing Director with specific projects both long and short term, specifically responsible for leasing assignments, keeping on top of leasing availability, ongoing building beautification, assistance with office management tasks, marketing projects for tenant retention, as well as receivables and payables. This role will also help oversee part-time office intern. The goal of this role is to maximize asset value, as well as help the company run more effectively and efficiently.

Marketing of Available Apartments & Leasing

  • Ownership of organizing and creation all marketing descriptions for available apartments
  • Assist with development of monthly leasing assignments and leasing commissions, and ultimately take charge of management of all leasing agents
  • Responsible for marketing to and working with prospective tenants to find best apartment, schedule showings, follow-up, etc.
  • Assist with ongoing lease renewal process o Anticipate needs for marketing pictures, descriptions, etc. 
  • Learn process for application review, lease creation, lease finalization and follow-up communication 
  • Assist with roommate changes and lease modifications

Tenant Customer Support

  • Execute marketing plan to encourage tenant retention
  • Develop customer service playbook for general contact email and phone calls 
  • Assist with general customer support with phone and email communication 
  • Oversee new tenant move in process 

Building Beautification

  • Develop new and efficienct ways to improve building beautification
  • Assist with renovation or building improvement projects 

Office Management

  • Tenant and vendor accounts payable and receivable
  • Answering phones during working hours, directing calls appropriately
  • Monitoring, following up and directing emails as necessary for general inbox
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proficient with computers and willing to learn 
  • Internet-based property management software and apartment marketing platforms like Zillow and Zumper
  • Customer service or account management service preferred, but not required
  • Outgoing personality that enjoys working with the public
  • Open to work in a small business / start-up office environment
  • Must drive and have car available (gas mileage will be reimbursed)

Competitive salary plus leasing commissions ($50 / lease signed). 50% paid health and dental insurance, gas mileage reiumbursment, potentially rent-credited apartment and 2 weeks paid time off.

Compensation will be evaluated after 6-months of employment.
