Join an energetic and collaborative Development Team that’s committed to making a bold statewide impact at a transformational time in the Milwaukee Public Museum’s (MPM) history. You’ll be part of the team working to fund the largest cultural project in Wisconsin’s history: building a new home for MPM and a new vision as Wisconsin’s Museum of Nature and Culture.

The Major Gifts Officer-Regional is the lead fundraiser and relationship builder for Museum constituents outside of the Greater Milwaukee area—with primary focus on Madison and the Fox Valley. You’ll be responsible for working with regional volunteer leadership to seek out opportunities to identify, cultivate and solicit a portfolio of individuals and select corporations and foundations across the state of Wisconsin to meet annual and capital campaign goals, and ensure a strong and growing base of financial support for the future Museum.

MPM’s 4 million collections items represent every County in our state. And each year, we welcome 550,000 people, who visit from every Wisconsin County. Our vision encompasses increased outreach and programming across the state to make sure we are providing world-class scientific and cultural education, accessible to all Wisconsinites. This is a hybrid position, with an average of 2 days/week in the Milwaukee office, and 3 days/week working from home or traveling within the state—primarily to Madison or the Fox Valley area.
